Description:
The original of this painting done by Norman Rockwell in 1927 has been called by 3 different names: 1. Looking Out to Sea, 2. Outward Bound, 3. The Stay at Homes. Whichever name one wants to call this picture, it is a lovely scene showing an old grandfather sea captain showing his grandson the ocean from a hill, and most likely telling tales of the sea. It is a lovely and sentimental picture with seagulls and rooftops with the ocean in the distance. This is a miniature print, framed in a medium brown wooden frame, mitered at the corners. Very nice condition. Size is: 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". I believe this was done either in the late 1940's or early 1950's. From a collection of dollhouse pictures.
