Lithographed tin tray with a picture of a country cottage with a bridge crossing brook and fields and woods. The imprinted writing says: Reward of Merit, From the Children's Store, Wanamaker Originator. The front scalloped edges and the back are blue. Very unusual and quite different from anything I've come across in the past. Lovely condition with great early patina, shows a little bit of aging and wear. This is most likely from the 1920's. John Wanamaker's was a very popular store in Philadelphia and sold many children's toys. Length is 3 1/4", width is 2 1/4".
