Description:
This superb and extremely hard to find Christmas ornament is a candy container with removable stopper made from the same papier mache as the body of the mandolin and, additionally, it is a toy harmonica on the handle. It has an early lithographed face with angels playing music up in heaven with clouds and a flying swan below with a manufacturer's mark that is unknown, shown close up in the photo. 1890's. It has the original cording and Christmas hanger. Nice condition with minor wear. Overall length is 7". Marked Germany. Matches other candy container, guitar, sold separately. Harmonica portion also has markings, patent applied for, Germany, etc.
