Toy Brass Horn no. 2 #186-08

Status: Available Price: $89.00
Description:
Hard to find and extremely interesting solid brass horn perfect as an accessory for a doll or to hang on a Christmas tree as an ornament. c. 1890-1900. The is is 4 7/8" long. Attached is a beautiful silk cording with tassels to hand from a doll's neck or to hang on the Christmas tree. I have two of these horns, sold separately, and the only difference is that the cording on one is tied differently than the other---I have left them as found. Pictured with an early German doll who is 18" high and would be great looking with a doll even taller. Also pictured on a real, full size Christmas tree and would also look great on a larger sized German feather tree. Altlhough the horn looks real, there is no sound coming from it, so I believe this was meant just for play. Beautiful early patina...this is a great, rare accessory. (Doll and Christmas tree pictured are not for sale and are being used just as props.)
